The key to shipping any product is to make sure that there is sufficient padding around the camera, at least an inch all the way around the unit. You should be able to shake the box and not have the item rattle inside.

Choosing the box for shipping is critical. Try to obtain a good condition box. Avoid boxes that have already been crushed or torn, that way we can be sure any damage we see when we receive the box is new. Speaking of damage, it is really important to insure your camera for full value. If you are properly insured you will have no need to worry.

Make certain that your name, daytime phone number, address and a description of the problem, sample photos and negatives with your unit are included.

If shipping from USA, mark the carton/box USED CAMERA... ETC... a value declaration will cause a duty charge with UPS.

In addition, please note that UPS charges a brokerage fee of $45 to clear items through customs. It is waived on Air shipments, and for items under $20 Can., and is based on the insured value. US parcel post by the US post office does not charge this.
